As we don’t have developed infrastructure concerning winter tourism, specially ski tours, in this program, we tried to visit such kind of places, where for 95% at all winter time the roads are cleaned from snow, where you will not hike for a long distance till the start point of way down, and where should be easy to find a hotel in a max. 1.5-2 hours of driving time. The only other version of having a great ski tour program, it’s to do a Winter Expedition in the mountains of Armenia. But that kind of expeditions are completely different from the program above, and it is requiring huge physical skill from the tourists, big experience to being in mountains few days without any comfort at winter time. They will not have hotels, bath etc. only tents, carry all the heavy backpacks on their shoulders etc. So, in one word, this is one of the most optimal programs for medium prepared tourists in ski tour.

Ski Tour 8 Days from 580 EUR

Day 1. Arrival. Meeting at the airport, transfer to hotel in Yerevan. Overnight in the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 2. Half day ski tour in mount Hatis, which is not far from Yerevan. Less than 1 hour driving from Yerevan till the slopes of the mountain. Climbing up to the top (2528m).  Then skiing down to the bus . Back to Yerevan. The rest of the day city tour. Overnight in the hotel in Yerevan.

Start from 1538m.

Distance - 11.3km  (the top of mount Hatis 2528m)

Altitude difference: + 980m (5.5km) - 901m(5.8km)

Day 3. Drive to Spitak pass, ski tour in nearby mountains. From 2130 climb up to 2730m, the skiing down till 1950m (depends on the season, howmuch will be the snow). Drive back to Yerevan. On the way back we will see famous monastery Saghmosavank with a great view of Kasakh river canyon. Overnight in the hotel in Yerevan.

Distance - 10.4km

Altitude difference: + 600m (5.7km) - 960m(4.7km)

Day 4. Start the direction of the South Armenia. Between 2 regions we have mountain pass where is passing the main highway, from where we will climb surrounding mountains and ski down from there. Overnight in the hotel in Sisian.

Start from 2343m 

Distance - 9.4km

Altitude difference: + 508m (4km) - 838m(5.4km)

Day 5. Difficult day. We will ski on one of the highest and beautiful mountain Great Ishkhanasar (3555m). Climbing is little hard, but skiing is very funny.  In the evening back to Yerevan. Overnight in the hotel in Yerevan.

Start from 2000m. 

Distance - 10.8km

Altitude difference: + 1151-1220m (5.4km-5.1km) - 1100m (3.7km-4.1km)

Day 6. Take direction to the highest ountain of Armenia, Mount Aragats. Drive to village Byurakan, from where bysnowcat climbing up to 3200m near frozen Kari lake. Overnight in “Aragats” cosmic ray-station or meteo-station.

Start from 2021m 

Distance - 16.8km(by snowcat)

Altitude difference: + 1179m

Day 7. Climbing up to South peak (3879m), from where we start skiing down till village Byurakan. The longest ski day (over 25km). Drive back to Yerevan. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in the hotel in Yerevan.

Distance – 25km
Altitude difference: + 484m (3.8km) - 1663m(20.6km)

Day 8. Transfer to airport. Departure.
